Description

These cheesy taco pockets are a quick and delicious snack or meal, packed with seasoned ground beef, gooey melted cheese, and a hint of fresh green peppers. Wrapped in golden tortillas, they’re perfect for taco night, parties, or a satisfying lunch on the go!


Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 packet taco seasoning
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup diced green peppers
  • 6 medium flour tortillas
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil (for frying or brushing)
  • Optional: Fresh cilantro, sour cream, or salsa for garnish

Instructions

 

  1. Prepare the Filling
    • In a skillet, cook the ground beef over medium heat until browned.
    • Drain any excess grease, then stir in taco seasoning and 1/4 cup water. Simmer for 5 minutes.
  2. Add the Cheese and Peppers
    • Remove from heat and mix in the shredded cheese and diced green peppers. Let the filling cool slightly.
  3. Assemble the Pockets
    • Lay out a tortilla, place a scoop of the beef mixture in the center, and fold the edges tightly to form a pocket.
  4. Cook the Pockets
    • Heat a large skillet over medium heat and add a little vegetable oil.
    • Cook the pockets seam-side down for 2–3 minutes per side until golden brown and crispy.
  5. Serve and Enjoy
    • Serve warm with optional garnishes like fresh cilantro, sour cream, or salsa.
