Ingredients
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 packet taco seasoning
- 1/4 cup water
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/2 cup diced green peppers
- 6 medium flour tortillas
- 2 tbsp vegetable oil (for frying or brushing)
- Optional: Fresh cilantro, sour cream, or salsa for garnish
Instructions
- Prepare the Filling
- In a skillet, cook the ground beef over medium heat until browned.
- Drain any excess grease, then stir in taco seasoning and 1/4 cup water. Simmer for 5 minutes.
- Add the Cheese and Peppers
- Remove from heat and mix in the shredded cheese and diced green peppers. Let the filling cool slightly.
- Assemble the Pockets
- Lay out a tortilla, place a scoop of the beef mixture in the center, and fold the edges tightly to form a pocket.
- Cook the Pockets
- Heat a large skillet over medium heat and add a little vegetable oil.
- Cook the pockets seam-side down for 2–3 minutes per side until golden brown and crispy.

- Serve warm with optional garnishes like fresh cilantro, sour cream, or salsa.
